Meet Rose Lanard
Rose is a dynamic and highly experienced leader in Diversity & Inclusion, senior executive and employee engagement, women’s leadership initiatives, and mentoring programs. Her work centers on helping organizations attract, retain and develop the most diverse talent, and creating truly inclusive work environments. In her last corporate role, as S&P Global’s Chief Diversity Officer, she transformed its DEI strategy and built a comprehensive framework that elevated its diverse talent acquisition, engagement and development programs. Her work spanned 20,000 employees globally in 100 offices. Throughout her career at S&P, Rose was a trailblazer, co-founding WINS (Women’s Initiative for Networking and Success), VALOR (a Veterans group), and a formal Mentoring Program (5,000+ mentees/mentors participating globally since its inception). She created the company’s peer recognition program, with 10,000 employees participating each year.
As CDO at S&P Global, Rose oversaw the strategic development and alignment of nine Employee Resource Groups across 40+ chapters. Her work encompassed establishing vital infrastructure to drive the groups’ success, while linking their activities to the company’s business imperatives and Corporate Responsibility mission. She also led the transformation of the firm’s D&I Council and built a robust partnership with internal and external Communications to showcase the company’s DEI plans and progress.
Prior to her career in DEI, Rose held several positions at S&P, JP Morgan Chase and Market Facts in market research and employee engagement.
